Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how CarValueAfterAccident ("we," "us," or "the site") handles information when you browse the site, use a calculator, or request a claim review.

Information you provide

Depending on the form you use, you may provide:

• your name, email address, telephone number, and state;
• vehicle year, make, model, trim, mileage, condition, and title status;
• accident date, fault, damage, repair, airbag, insurance, and claim details; and
• calculator estimates and the page from which you submitted the request.

Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical records, driver's-license images, or other sensitive documents through these forms.

Information processed automatically

Browsers, hosting providers, and the form backend may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs. The current application does not include an advertising tracker or an analytics package that depends on marketing cookies.

How information is used

• to calculate and display an educational vehicle-value estimate;
• to receive, review, and respond to a claim-review request;
• to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site; and
• to comply with law, enforce site terms, or protect users and the service.

Service providers and disclosures

The site uses Cloudflare to deliver the website and Convex to provide application and form-backend services. Those providers may process information on our behalf to operate their services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, or complete a business transfer.

The current application does not contain a feature that sells personal information or sends form submissions to advertising networks. This policy will be updated before we intentionally introduce a materially different use or disclosure.

Retention and security

Submitted information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to the request, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can use the educational content without submitting a claim-review form. If you submitted a form and later receive a follow-up message, reply to that message to request access, correction, or deletion and identify the email address used in the submission. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law permits or requires it. Privacy rights vary by location.

Children

The site is intended for vehicle owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.

External websites have their own privacy practices. We may revise this policy as the site and its providers change; the review date above identifies the current version.
